I’m not quite sure where the design concept for new Hoxton Square restaurant Monikers came from… it’s like a bus somehow crash landed through the roof of a small school. Unlike my school days though, at Monikers you’re actively encouraged to graffiti the walls and leave your own mark behind. If I remember correctly, somewhere during the building’s history it used to be a school, which is where the remnants of old school coat hooks and blackboards tie in… but the bus… I’m not so sure on… harkening back to the days on school trips perhaps?! Anyway, it was a fantastic night covering Monikers well attended launch, which riffed on other school memories with cocktails served in old milk bottles, stickers to swap in the goody bags and a huge sweet jar passed around at the end.
