I was back covering St. George’s Healthcare NHS Trust Long Service and Annual Awards dinner on Wednesday evening. I’ve taken photos for this event before, and one of the nice things about regularly covering an event is familiarity with the schedule, where to be at the right time and areas for good light or photographic moments. It’s was great to see such long serving members of the NHS and volunteers getting their rightly due recognition, particularly for those who had brought family and partners along too.

Nicholas Owen was compere for the evening, entertaining the crowd with behind the scenes stories from his stint on Strictly Come Dancing and his time presenting the news. He did such a good job of warming the crowd up that he received hugs from several of the awards winners too!
