I had a really enjoyable evening at the Jackdaw, a jazz cafe in Clapton, shooting a feature for Time Out’s Eating & Drinking section. It’s a very atmospheric venue, with interesting features, decorations and plenty of quirky seating filling out the ground floor restaurant. Not forgetting to mention the cosy jazz basement… niiice! Unlike the Fast Show’s Jazz Club the acts performing that night were great entertainment. There was plenty to photograph, so I was thankful for the amazing chicken thigh dish which kept me going through the night.
