Pretty unusual assignment taking pictures of an old cow on behalf of St. George’s University of London. Not just any old cow, but Blossom, the cow used in Edward Jenner’s vaccination experiments. Blossom had been displayed on the wall of the library at St. George’s for quite a while, but was given temporary release for samples to be taken for some tests before being sent off for restoration. I was surprised at how massive the hide actually was, and the different array of textures and colour were pretty impressive to photograph.
